Case Studies

A look at our recently completed projects…

Navigating the complexities of steel erection

Structural steel erection is complex, but having the same expert team that built your product install makes for safe and effective construction.

Our highly skilled installation team are involved at every stage of construction, from design concepts right through to site erection. Having experts on hand during assembly means they can offer a practical approach, with your project’s specific requirements in mind.

To ensure our team has everything it needs for installation, we’ll provide certified cranes, work platforms and tools for safe and effective working at height, facilitating our projects’ demanding schedules.

Facilitating safety during your site installation

We put yours and our teams’ safety first at the point of steel erection, and we spare no effort in equipping our team with the right tools and resources for the job.

Prefabricating steel ahead of construction is key to reducing the labour intensity of the construction process, which is why we’ll fabricate as much as we can in our dedicated facility ahead of construction.

Our erectors are highly skilled and experienced, and we carry out risk assessments to reduce the risk of falling from height and materials getting damaged, as well as safe use of cranes, mobile platforms and scaffolds.

Tried and tested installation

To limit downtime at your site, we will perform a trial erection at our South Yorkshire facility as standard ahead of the full-scale installation, ensuring efficiency and quality.

In a controlled testing environment, we’ll simulate the pressure and weight your structure will need to handle in its real life application, ensuring structural integrity and checking that there are no flaws in the design or materials.

As part of this process, we’ll invite you to our South Yorkshire site to witness the manufacturing process for yourself, so you know what to expect when our team arrives to complete the installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Steel erection is the process of assembling and installing structural steel components to create frameworks for buildings, bridges, and other structures. It involves lifting, positioning, and securing steel beams, columns, and other elements according to detailed designs and specifications.

The duration of steel erection varies depending on factors such as the size and complexity of the structure, site conditions and weather conditions. When you get in touch to enquire, we’ll be able to provide estimated turnaround times based on your specific requirements.

Steel erection requires a range of specialised equipment to safely and efficiently lift, position, and secure steel components. Common equipment used in steel erection includes cranes, hoists, rigging equipment, welding equipment, and personal protective gear. We’ll manage the hiring of equipment, giving you one less thing to think about.

All workers involved in steel erection are highly trained and experienced. As well as this, we put protection measures in place to keep all people, materials and equipment safe.
